Regmiks Basalt Wick

Basalt wick is obtained by melting basalt stones at 1300-1700°C. It is an untwisted yarn consisting of Basalt Roving fibers. Basalt wick surpasses glass wick in many properties and is not particularly inferior to carbon wick.

Basalt fiber is a type of fiber obtained by melting and processing the rock at 1300-1700°C. The heat and sound insulation of basalt fibers is quite high. In addition, since they are produced from a rock that is abundant in nature, they are cheaper than other fibers. In addition, the tensile strength of basalt fibers is higher than E-Class glass fibers and their elongation at break is higher than carbon fibers.

Basalt Wick Advantages

Basalt fiber roving shows high strength and resistance against deformation and mechanical effects compared to glass and metal equivalents, and increases heat and corrosion resistance. Basalt wick also has good thermal insulation properties
